DANÇANDO NA BROADWAY

EPISODE GUIDE 1ST SEASON​ / MULTISHOW NETWORK, FRIDAYS 9:30PM

Episode 1

CHICAGO

 

In the series premiere we get to meet the cast, Livia Dabarian, Alice Reis, Rebeca Rad, Felipe Tavolaro, Gabriel Malo and Danilo Barbieri, while they rehearse for a "Chicago" audition. Legendary Choreographer Dana Moore remembers her days of Bob Fosse.

Episode 3

IN THE HEIGHTS

 

The cast is surprised by a harder challenge: they have to learn two different choreographies from "In The Heights". Alison Thomas Lee helps the cast with a salsa and a hip hop combination, as they all perform duets.

Episode 5

RENT

 

To better get into the nineties alt rock vibe, the cast goes to Cake Shop, in the Lower East Side, to perform duets from "Rent" along with a live band. Things get tense with the harsh words from the guest judges. 

Episode 7

PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT

 

The six actors have to portrait the drag queens from "Priscilla - Queen of the Desert". Special guests Nick Adams (lead actor) and J. Elaine Marcus, both from "Priscilla" on Broadway) judge the performances. 

Episode 9

A CHORUS LINE

 

The cast has to perform the opening number from "A Chorus Line", as created by the legendary choreographer Michael Bennett. Original cast member Donna Drake and "Village Voice" columnist Michael Musto appear.

Episode 11

CABARET

 

The gang goes to The Duplex, one of New York's famous cabarets to interpret Sally Bowles & company. Dana Moore is back to teach a Bob Fosse-inspired choreography, while the cast performs the "Cabaret" hits.

Episode 13

SHOWCASE

 

It's decision time! The cast perform solo and group numbers in front a live audience and five new judges. Drama, tears and bitterness as the season winner is announced.

Episode 2

HAIR

 

It's time to go back to the 70's for the "Hair" audition. Jen Littlefield creates an original combination for Aquarius, but before the test, the six actors have to run to the Chelsea flea market to find accessories and clothes.

Episode 4

MAMMA MIA

 

Tony Gonzales, dance captain from the Broadway version of "Mamma Mia" is on board to teach what the cast thinks is an easy combination. Besides singing their individual songs, they all have to do backing vocals for the other competitors.​

Episode 6

WEST SIDE STORY

 

Joey McKneely, director of the latest Broadway version of "West Side Story" shows up to judge the performances. The boys challenge is to learn the original choreography from "Cool", while the girls have to master "America".​

Episode 8

WICKED

 

It's time to go to Oz for the "Wicked" audition. All the boys have to perform "Dancing Through Life", while the girls can pick their own songs. "Wicked" Dance Captain Alicia Albright teaches the combination.

Episode 10

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

 

All the girls have to perform the same song ("I Don't Know How To Love Him"), while the boys can choose their own material from the "Jesus Christ Superstar" score. Broadway's Christine Rae is the episode's special guest.

Episode 12

REHEARSAL

 

The cast prepares for the season finale: a showcase filled with musical numbers, presented in front of a live audience at a theater in Times Square. They all remember the highs and lows of the season.

Episode 14

WINNER SPECIAL EPISODE

 

Livia Dabarian, the winner of "Dançando Na Broadway" performs a variety of musical numbers with her favorite Broadway stars. Karen Ziemba, Joel Grey and Dana P. Rowe appear.
