"Expresso Futuro" is a series that blends the best in the world of technology and culture. It explores topics like artificial intelligence, smart cities, gig economy, the boom of VR/AR and others, showcasing how the development of the internet and new technologies affect our society. The series is hosted by Ronaldo Lemos, an internationally respected Brazilian scholar and commentator on technology, intellectual property, and culture. Lemos is the director of the Institute for Technology & Society of Rio de Janeiro (ITS Rio) and professor of Law & Innovation at Rio's State University. He is currently Tinker Visiting Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and was also one of the creators of the Marco Civil, a law enacted in 2014 regulating the Internet in Brazil in regards to protecting civil rights, privacy and internet neutrality.
