CLASH OF CULTURES
The Rise of the New Electro Scene (US, 2004)

"CLASH OF CULTURES" is a dazzling feature film that documents the rise of the new Electro scene. Using post-September 11th New York City is a starting point, the film portraits the scene that bred names like Scissor Sisters, Ladytron and Peaches. Exploring themes such as the do-it-yourself culture and the influence of technology in the artistic community at the beginning of the new millennium "CLASH OF CULTURES" also documents the explosion of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as one of the most creative neighborhoods in the United States. Directed by Guto Barra and produced by Planet Pop, the film was acquired by MTV Brazil and released as "Deluxe" DVD package, containing bonus music videos, a CD soundtrack and a making of video.
